Full Job Description

This new role is pivotal to the ongoing development of St Chad's Sanctuary. As an administrative assistant you will support the staff team and ensure the smooth daily running of a busy community space. You will be working alongside staff, volunteers, benefactors and service users. You will undertake administrative tasks such as answering enquiries on the phone, directing and responding to emails, updating calendars, greeting visitors at the door and directing them as appropriate. You will be producing timetables, notices and other signage, as required, usually utilising Google Drive. You will order and refill supplies. You will undertake some financial tasks, such as uploading data to spreadsheets and running reports.

We are looking for someone who will be committed to our ethos of welcoming the stranger. You may have an interest in or experience of working with people from other countries and cultures. You will recognise the importance of welcoming behaviour, clear communication and good presentation. You will enjoy working in a team in a busy environment but be able to self motivate during quieter periods.
