Yard worker

We are seeking a dedicated Yard Worker to join our team. The Yard Worker will be responsible for various tasks related to materials sorting, training available to operate telehandler and forklift. Full UK driving licence required.

• Responsibilities:


- sort through incoming metals.

- Operate forklifts to move materials within the yard

- Assist in general yard duties ie. Refuelling machines, greasing etc.

- organise traffic within yard

- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles

- Handle materials with care to prevent damage

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the yard

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

- Experience in metals if possible

- Proficiency in operating forklifts safely and efficiently

- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance

- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as needed

- Familiarity with yard management systems for inventory control

- Strong materials handling capabilities
