Full Job Description

West Yorkshire Police is looking to recruit 2 Financial Analysts to join the Economic Crime Unit based in Wakefield on a fixed term basis for 2 years.

In this role, you will provide advice, assistance, and support to police investigators in accountancy and auditing issues. This will include the analysis of financial data and preparation of evidence to identify and illustrate criminal aspects of cases under investigation - which you may be called upon to present at court., Applicants should be aware that it is not always possible to carry out adequate vetting checks on persons who have not been resident within the UK for the last five years. Therefore, where this applies, applicants may be refused because it was not possible to vet them to the appropriate standard.

To be considered for this role you must be AAT qualified and have a basic knowledge of auditing practice. You will also have a good working knowledge of, and the ability to operate, computerised databases, including Microsoft Office and spreadsheet packages. In addition, you must either hold a full current UK/European driving licence, and/or be willing and able to travel for business purposes.
