Workshop Controller

We are currently recruiting a Workshop controller to join our ever-growing loyal team. As a Workshop Controller for Jordans, you will work with the Aftersales Manager to deliver a high level of productivity and an excellent standard of first-time repair, while making sure you always maintain a clean, safe, and professional workshop.

The role will be to oversee and manage daily workloads for the workshop technicians and body shop operative whilst supporting the Service Advisors to manage expectations to maximise the efficiency and performance of the workshop. You will be required to ensure we achieve the highest levels of quality, housekeeping, and productivity.

Day to day you will allocate work to the team and monitor performance, you will assist and troubleshoot with complex jobs and motivate the team to achieve monthly targets.

More about the role:

Ø Managing a team of vehicle technicians and a body shop operative, making sure targets and business objectives are met

Ø Allocating work within the team

Ø Making sure all servicing work is carried out correctly, competently and on time, with customer satisfaction in mind

Ø Quality checking work carried out in the workshop

Ø Working with colleagues and other departments to ensure a seamless service for customers

Ø Scheduling work to meet customer needs, taking into account workshop targets, the complexity of each job and the availability of parts

Ø Providing estimates for servicing and repairs and setting timescales

Ø Assisting technicians with technical challenges and finding the right outcome

Ø Working with Service Advisors to ensure service standards with customers are met

• Experience in a Technician or a Workshop Controller role


• Team player and the ability to motivate a team


• Excellent communicator, ability to work with Service Advisors and Technicians
  
  Jordans are part of the JR Rix and Sons group of businesses based in Hull. We are a Fiat and Peugeot Professional franchise for sales we also sell New and Used Motorhomes with a substantial Forecourt. Aftersales we have Just taken on the Citroen, Peugeot, Vauxhall, and Fiat commercial Brands.
  
  Working hours are Mon - Fri 8.00 am to 6.00 pm with 1 hour for lunch per day and every other Saturday 8.00 am to 1.00 pm.
