Full Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Workforce Systems Manager to join our Workforce Information Team, bringing a solid skillset that can be further developed with King's.
This is a key role within the team, that will allow the successful candidate to identify, support, and develop improvements in the Trust's usage of Workforce systems, with opportunities to utilise and build on skills and experience in operational management, strategy creation, etc.
With a solid background in managing and supporting complex database management systems, ideally in the NHS or other large public sector organisation; skilled in producing workflows, processes, working with ESR; experience with managing and developing a team; excellent communication, leadership, and organisation skills; a strong presenter and communicator with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact with King's Workforce Information, and develop and expand their existing skillset to the fullest.
This is a permanent, full-time role, and will be primarily based at our site at Denmark Hill, although travel to other King's sites may occasionally be required., The post holder will be responsible for delivering improvements to the way in which Workforce systems are used within the Trust, ensuring the operational effectiveness of ESR and other systems used across the organisation. This will be achieved through operational management, delivery of training and support strategy and the creation of a Systems Benefits Realisation strategy that focuses on delivering improvements in an integrated way.
There will be three key strands to the role.
1. Management of the ESR Establishment to ensure financial sustainability
2. To lead on ESR data quality and data management improvements.
3. Optimising the use of ESR across the Directorate and Trust, + Responsible for the management of the ESR system and other Workforce systems (e.g. trac, CRM) and interfaces. Ensuring that it is the primarily source of accurate and up to date establishment and workforce information across all employee and systems processes
+ Ensures that protocols for system access are developed and adhered to at all times with regular audits undertake
+ Acts as the ESR super-user providing expert advice to colleagues. Liaise with the ESR central team for fault resolution and lead on national/local initiatives
+ Ensures that administration tasks for Workforce systems, their interfaces and reports are scheduled and actioned as required. Ensuring data accuracy and integrity is maintaine
Establishment Control
+ Ensure that all changes to the Trust workforce establishment are actioned within the agreed SLA's and are processed accuracy
+ Ensure that processes around the above are understood and well communicated so that submitters understand how it works
+ Ensure relationships between HR and Finance are maintained and regular meetings take place to ensure the ESR and the Ledger is reconcile
+ Delivers improvements to the Establishment Control process, working with Trust managers and Recruitment colleagues to deliver improvements in Recruitment times
Information Systems and Data Management
+ Develops regular audits of data quality and works with colleagues within Workforce to address data quality issues with a focus on continuous improvemen
+ Works with colleagues within Workforce to identify opportunities for improved systems usage across all system
+ Manage the ESR access control process and its annual audit process
