Full Job Description

Y is looking for an experienced Support Worker who will provide her with hands on support, sometimes working with another Carer. You will provide assistance with all areas of her daily living including personal care and implement her therapy programmes including organising activities and trips. You will work with her team of therapists implementing any exercises or activities shown in her care plan.

You will have sound Carer/Support Worker experience with a Care Certificate, NVQ2 or equivalent and must have the confidence to work on your own where required. You will be friendly, reliable, proactive and be a great communicator with a positive outlook.

Our delightful, sociable, and out-going 26-year-old client with Cerebral Palsy is looking for a Weekend Support Worker. Y loves spending time with her close-knit family as well as arts & crafts, baking and also enjoys pamper days at home getting her nails painted, she likes shopping, swimming and going out for the day, perhaps for a picnic if the weather is good. Y also enjoys watching films and TV and playing games appropriate to her level of communication and ability. If you think you might be a good fit we'd love to hear from you.

Full training will be provided and you will be supported by a Team Leader, Case Manager and the wider team.

You will be a driver with a UK licence and be able to drive our client's automatic car.

Y has two friendly dogs so you will be an animal lover who has no allergies.

Pay:

£15 per hour weekends

Hours / Shifts:

Two Saturdays per month

9:00 am to 9:00 pm = 12 hours x 2 = 24 hours per month

Two Sundays per month

12:00pm to 6:00pm = 6 hours x 2 = 12 hours per month
