Warehouse Supervisor

Plan and oversee the general operations of the Warehouse and colleagues, including maintaining inventory and training and supervising new colleague

Specific tasks

Plan,organise and supervise daily warehouse and colleagues,including the receipt,documentation,storage,safety and distribution of equipment and supplies.

Train,coach and supervise colleagues in their expected job duties and company policies and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees.

Ensure colleagues are trained in company health and safety practices and provide coaching where necessary on appropriate corrective actions.

Determine staffing levels and assign workload appropriately.

Recommend personal actions such as hiring and promotions.

Route,schedule,pack and prepare orders for delivery; load vehicles;schedule and oversee deliveries and pick ups.

Prepare and maintain a variety of records and logs and prepare reports as required,maintain inventory of items in the warehouse,file records as required and supervise the assembly of inventory printouts.

Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving,identifying,dispatching and assuring quality of goods.

Liaise with all departments.

Assist management in establishing warehouse practices and standards.

Observe health and safety regulations;maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition.

Ability to work in very cold temperatures.

Perform other duties as required.

Ability to be flexible and adapt to change as required.

Relevant experience

Management/Supervisory experience

Experience within FMCG

Proficient in SAP,Excel,Word,Outlook

Excellent communication skills

Health and Safety knowledge
