Full Job Description

As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor and you will provide support function to the business, reporting and monitoring across all business functions and helping other ensure their projects progress efficiently, affordably, and safely.

What you'll be doing
As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you will have the following accountabilities:

  • Ensure adherence with all compliance standards and always operate with integrity.

  • Respond to email queries and problems associated to any queries.

  • Input sensitive company information into systems.

  • Report any violation of company processes and procedures to the Line Manager and in line with Whistleblowing Policy

  • Review, check, query, and approve Subcontractor Applications for Payment with support from the quantity surveyor.

  • Oversee aborts logs, process and administration, cross checking CVI's and raising invoices for recoverable items.

  • Resolve payments with queries with developers in calibration with internal stakeholders.

  • Remeasure and approve completed works against purchase orders.

  • Run productivity reports on non-modular work items.

  • Assist with producing and analysing KPI reports to identify area's requiring improvement in productivity with support from the Quantity Surveyor.

  • Escalate issues to Line Manager at the earliest opportunity to ensure a speedy resolution.

    Excellent eye for detail and skilled at identifying and correcting errors.

  • Ability to consistently maintain accurate records and logs of activities.

  • Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in handling sensitive information, demonstrating a strong sense of discretion and professionalism in all interactions and communications.

  • Advantageous to have experience working in utilities.

  • Advantageous to have previous admin experience.

  • Advantageous to have intermediate Excel and Power BI experience, however this will be taught as this is a Trainee role.
