Calero are looking for a bright, capable and enthusiastic Technical Data Analyst to join our development team in the UK. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to work on our fastest growing offering of SaaS Management, business critical software that gets used every day within the world's largest tech and financial institutions and multi-national organizations.

The Technical Data Analyst will be responsible for defining, curating and enhancing the critical data that powers our product suite. By exploring new datasets , API documentation & scripts you will clearly and succinctly define data models & flows that will enable your team to build innovative solutions. This role will also assist in and align with the associated development and release processes - ensuring the final deliverable is fit for purpose, and produces the desired business outcomes. The role will involve data analysis with advanced Excel skills required and the ability to consume API specifications, pull together example calls in Postman and/or Swagger specifications. For example, analysis of usage data sets to model optimisations or exploring vendor API's for various integration opportunities.

You'll be part of a busy development team using Agile software development methods. You will have all the support and training you need, but ultimately you'll need to demonstrate the ability to communicate well, self-organise, think on your feet and find creative ways to make our products and release processes better.

Responsibilities:

  • Innovate new solutions: Be comfortable with research, exploration, experimentation and uncertainty as we are always pushing the boundaries and capabilities of our capabilities.

  • Perform data analysis and mining with your preferred tools to model data structures and concepts

  • Master Data Curation - Enrich our central data repositories ensuring they are up to date while increasing the depth and breadth of what is captured.

  • Codified data pipelines and Business Rules that automate outcomes and data freshness

  • Data implementation of new vendors/customers/products etc into relevant systems

  • Investigate and research business context for each project, e.g. identifying and learning from subject matter experts, shadowing real users, conducting online industry or competitive research etc.

  • Produce and maintain Visual Flow Diagrams of each major feature and solution

  • Produce API guides, ideally as Postman packs, documentation or scripts to demonstrate working connectivity on API's we need to consume

    Advanced usage of Excel , PowerQuery , SQL and Python

  • API testing and interaction - In tools such as postman or similar

  • Strong sense of commercial awareness that enables you to translate data into real outcomes for users & the business

  • Data testing and live observability to validate and warn on data integrity concerns

  • Demonstrable expertise in Machine learning in the toolset of your choice

  • Proven experience evolving repeatable scripted data pipelines

  • Agile processes - particularly understanding journey mapping and value slicing

  • Clear documentation and execute any necessary deployment procedures, operational guides and monitoring requirement

  • Any experience in GenAI (or AI more generally) would complement the above perfectly
