Full Job Description

  • Progression to a higher salary may be available after 12 months, subject to meeting specified knowledge, skills and competencies.


  • If you are offered a position, you will be required to undertake and successfully complete a BS7858 security screening check.
    Main Responsibilities
  • Respond to enquiries, both verbally and in writing from Telecoms team members or from Customers.

  • Operate and maintain the National Grid Telecoms Support mailbox system.

  • Administer various databases supporting National Grid Telecoms.

  • Provide administration and support to the National Grid Telecoms teams.

    You'll be results driven, to ensure our National Grid Telecoms teams receive excellent support and our customers receive excellent customer service.


  • As part of our hybrid working approach this role offers a mix of office and home working. Hybrid working can only be considered once your initial training is complete and subject to business need.

    You will need English and Maths GCSE Grade C/Level 4 or above OR Functional Skills Level 2 or above to apply. Evidence of your qualifications will be required prior to appointment., You must be able to communicate effectively both verbally, and in writing, with customers and other team members and must be able to represent the company positively at all times., You must be reliable, well organised and be able to work as part of a small team and you must be able to work using your own initiative. Possession of basic keyboard skills is desirable and full training will be given on the applications used.
