Sports Development Coach Ref- TV12724

We are seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Sports Development Coach to provide tailored support to our pupils. The successful candidate will have a passion for sport and will encourage our pupils to get involved in various physical activities, creating positive experiences within PE sessions. You will organise and lead a variety of Sports after school clubs.

The post will commence September 2024.

The successful candidate will:

• Supervise and support pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning


• Encourage pupils to engage in a wide range of activities


• Establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs


• Manage a play leader system at lunchtimes so that all children are occupied and given the opportunity to take part in structured sports activities


• Prepare, maintain and use equipment/resources required to meet the lesson plans/relevant learning activity and assist pupils in their use.


• Monitor pupils' responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed


• Establish and develop sustainable links with local sports clubs and other community providers
  
  Have a good understanding of how P.E. and sport is delivered in primary schools


• Hold a minimum requirement of Level 3 or equivalent qualification or experience
