Full Job Description

The Westmorland and Furness Children's Safeguarding Hub are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated social worker to join a team that is passionate about making the right decisions for children and families at the right time. We firmly believe that all children in Westmorland and Furness deserve the best start in life, and we're looking for the right social worker to join us in making that happen.

The Westmorland and Furness Safeguarding Hub has a responsibility to accurately identify the needs of children, young people and their parents and carers and to ensure that the appropriate services and support are provided in a timely way.
We want to meet an enthusiastic and creative social worker who wants to be part of our experienced multi-agency team working collaboratively and efficiently to make good decisions which keep children safe., We are currently operating both in-person and virtual interviews. Options will be discussed with candidates once they have been invited to the interview stage of the process for this specific position, and if you have any concerns or adjustments are needed, we are happy to discuss.
If you are invited to a virtual interview, this will preferably be undertaken using the Microsoft Teams software, which is currently free for new users, however if there are any issues with accessing this technology, we are happy to discuss alternative arrangements prior to the interviews.
