Service Desk MPOS Engineer - 4 month FTC

With the ever-evolving state of retail in brick and mortar, we're expanding our sights into new ground by changing from usual till EPOS to mobile point-of-sale. We are looking for an MPOS engineer to support this project. This role is a 4 month fixed term contract., The MPOS engineer will take the lead on removing all old EPOS equipment and installing MPOS alongside the current service desk team. Based out of our Larkfield distribution centre this is a mainly field-based role visiting all stores through the UK and Europe, installing the new system and ensuring that the stores can trade post installation. Due to the field base nature of this role you must have a driving licence and a car to be considered.,

• Reporting to the London-based IT service desk manager & MPOS project team


• Removing and decommissioning all old in-store equipment


• Administration and auditing of all equipment being shipped to each location


• Administration of old equipment to be disposed of


• Responsible for daily and weekly updates on the project status via emails and meetings


• Support in making a knowledge base on the installation process and flagging any issues


• Working at pace to achieve timescales identified in the service level agreement


• Ensuring data integrity is maintained
  
  Mobile Telephony (IOS)


• Windows 10, 11 and Mac OSX


• Google Corporate Mail


• Active Directory


• WiFi Technologies (specifically Meraki)


• Experience with EPOS/MPOS systems


• Printer installation and troubleshooting


• WAN/LAN Technologies is beneficial


• Familiarity with JAMF is also be beneficial
