Maintenance Engineers are responsible for carrying out equipment and site repairs, modifications and improvements. During the programme you will be supported by dedicated mentors as you undertake a variety of placements across the business., We are looking for a multi-skilled maintenance engineering apprenticeship to be based at the Gorsey Lane site

What Does Maintenance involve?

Maintenance Engineers are responsible for carrying out equipment and site repairs, modifications and improvements.

Typical duties include:

- Fault finding and associated repairs on a variety of plant equipment
- Carrying out inspections and reporting findings
- Assisting with planned maintenance programmes.

What does a Sertec apprenticeship involve?

As an Engineering apprentice you will undertake a structured 4 year development programme, where you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills whilst working directly with industry professionals. You will gain hands-on experience, alongside college based learning which will provide you with the best start to your career in Engineering.

• Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) - off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham in year 1


• Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence)


• Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)


• In house training in line with your requirements., Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Number skills, Analytical skills, Logical, Team working, Creative, Initiative, Non judgemental, GCSE or equivalent English Language (Grade 4 / C / Pass (5 preferred)) Essential

GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4 / C / Pass (5 preferred)) Essential
GCSE or equivalent Science (or other relevant subject) (Grade 4 / C / Pass (5 preferred)) Essential
