About the Opportunity

Assurance, Technology and Regulation (ATR) has a primary focus on three key areas; Independent Oversight and Assurance, Technology Development, and Regulatory Support. We have been directly involved in the Royal Navy's Nuclear Submarine Program for six decades and support the UK Civil Nuclear and Decommissioning industries.

Jacobs Technology and Cyber security team have some exciting opportunities with our Assurance, technology and regulations team and are looking for a talented and enthusiastic lead planner who is keen to cement our existing expertise in delivering projects to our key clients, while encouraging the growth of our business in this sector. The role will be 50% project based, 50% portfolio improvements, looking to deliver new ways of working to improve both planning efficiency and quality.

You will be responsible for:

  • Act as the Performance unit's go to, for Planning improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure planning outputs are delivered on time, to a good standard across projects.

  • Deliver new ways of working to improve planning efficiency and quality.

  • Maintain / update appropriate Planning documentation across programme.

  • Provide support and guidance to planning resource within projects.

  • Work with Project Controls line management for resource demand / availability.

  • Continue the presence and engagement of planning services to AT&R.

  • Contribute to Lessons Learnt process throughout the project lifecycle


  • The role is predominantly Warrington based but Home / remote working is available and considered appropriate, consideration can also be given in respect to part time & flexible working hours.

  • A proven track record of successful delivery within the planning function using planning tools such as Primavera


  • an demonstrate the following:Engagement and development of excellent relationships with client senior managers, regulators, and other stakeholders, including internal Jacobs management
  • Due to the requirements of the project, our client will require the successful candidate to hold SC Clearance.
