Full Job Description

As the Senior EC&I Technician you will carry out mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and automation fault finding, breakdown and Preventative Maintenance repairs on equipment to ensure equipment downtime is minimised to ensure achievement of the production plan.

Your responsibilities:

  • Providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.

  • Improve of OEE through the application of TPM and other Lean tools increasing the mean time between failures (MTBF) while reducing the mean time to repair (MTTR).

  • To analyse equipment reliability. To generate ideas for solving chronical issues related with equipment on lines, coating benches and washcoat manufacture. To initiate solutions, new projects and projects for improvements.

  • To carry out investigations in safety and breakdown events via 4CP, RCA techniques.

  • Participate in Preventative and Corrective Maintenance Programs to improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).

  • To work in a safe manner and in such a way that equipment downtime is minimised.

    Knowledge of Lean/CI tools (5S, TPM, RCA, PDCA)

  • Experience working in a highly regulated COMAH environment

  • IEE 18th Edition or equivalent

  • Familiar with process automation equipment

  • Be adaptable and maintain effectiveness when experiencing changes in responsibilities or work environment

  • Maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition (such as time pressure or job ambiguity)
