Senior Clinical Educator / Practice Development Nurse

To be an effective practitioner and professional role model, demonstrating the ability to confidently lead in the provision of a high quality service. In collaboration with other senior colleagues, to identify, support and promote nursing practice developments. Practice as a professional nurse, with confidence, authority and expertise, acting as a role model for all staff in the pursuit of clinical excellence. Explore creative approaches to professional development in order to meet individual learning needs. Provide supervision, teaching and support for individuals in the clinical areas. To guide and support mentors in all aspects of their role. With nursing colleagues and multi-disciplinary team nurture the development of an environment which supports and encourages personal and professional growth. Liaise with the Nursing Practice and Education Department re developments and needs both for Registered and Non Registered staff. Co-ordinate and develop the departments orientation
programme for all staff. Initiate and facilitate learning opportunities within the clinical settings. Act as an expert resource for others requiring knowledge, experience and guidance within the clinical environment. With senior nursing colleagues construct, implement and evaluate a competency-based Foundation Programme for nursing within Trauma and Orthopaedics To support pre-registration students to achieve clinical competencies liaising with Trust Student Facilitators and UEA link tutors. Liaise with other professional colleagues to encourage multi-disciplinary training and education.
