Full Job Description

Classic Care Homes (Devon) is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Field Supervisor/Senior Carer to join our team. This role requires flexibility to work across our two care homes, Summercourt in Teignmouth and Pottles Court in Exminster, as well as provide support for our new domiciliary care business on a need basis. The Senior Carer will work directly under the Regional Manager and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of care and support are provided to our residents and clients.

Please be aware that the company will not be sponsoring any change of right to work visa from any exisitng COS, or applying for COS for this position.

Responsibilities:

1. Care Provision: Delivering person-centered care to residents and clients, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.

2. Care Planning: Assisting in the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated.

3. Medication Management: Administering medication accurately, adhering to established protocols and procedures.

4. Supervision and Training: Providing guidance and support to care staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver quality care.

5. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic care records using software such as PCS or Birdie, documenting care provided and any changes in residents' or clients' conditions.

6. Communication: Collaborating with the Regional manager, Registered managers, care staff, residents, clients, and their families to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.

7. Compliance: Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations, including health and safety, safeguarding, and confidentiality guidelines.

8. Driving and Transportation: Utilizing a valid UK driving license to provide transportation services for residents and clients as required.

1. Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Carer or a similar role within a care home or domiciliary care setting.

2. Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in health and social care, such as NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.

3. Driving License: Possession of a valid UK driving license and ability to drive.

4. Flexibility: Willingness to work across multiple locations, including Summercourt in Teignmouth and Pottles Court in Exminster, as well as provide support for domiciliary care services.

5. Software Skills: Proficiency in electronic care records software, particularly PCS or Birdie.

6. Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and guide care staff effectively.

7. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, clients, and their families.

8. Compassion and Empathy: A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with diverse needs.

9. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a multidisciplinary team environment.

10. Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.

Pay: £11.44-£13.00 per hour
