Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to join our People (Human Resources) Team, as a Senior Administrator. You will be responsible for taking ownership and coordination of the People administrative function for your designated Business Partner area, ensuring a consistent functional approach, accuracy, reliability of information and close team working with your designated People Business Partner.

Key Tasks include:
1. Managing the administration of the recruitment and selection process for the college from start to finish, whilst adhering to the regulations in relation to Safer Recruitment.
2. Providing advice to managers on the recruitment process, paperwork required and where best to place adverts to attract candidates.
3. Administering the full employee life cycle from start to finish, acting as a point of contact for all new employees during their Onboarding, including generating Offer Letters and Contracts of Employment and undertaking DBS administration for all new staff.
4. Recording and monitoring sickness absence on the HR system.
5. Processing changes to terms and conditions of employment forms, issuing variation to contract letters and updating the HR system. Advising payroll of relevant changes.
6. Advising line managers on Volunteers, Teacher Training Placements and Work Experience, processing paperwork and ensuring all training and checks are completed before authorisation.
7. Responding to reference requests for current and ex members of staff.
8. Maintaining electronic personnel files on both the HR Database and on SharePoint.
9. Conducting administration duties to support the wider People Team.
10. The opportunity to support the Head of People with wider People related projects.
