Full Job Description

We are seeking a passionate recruitment professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing quality candidates for live vacancies, whilst providing first-class customer service standards, ensuring that the needs of our strategic partners are kept at the heart of everything we do.

The global HSE industry is an exciting and varied market to explore and whilst you will be based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, at our HQ, this is a role that will see you travel to myriad innovative infrastructure and renewable energy projects nationwide.,

  • Work closely alongside the Recruitment Lead to source high-quality candidates for a variety of vacancies to service a multitude of projects within the renewable energy sector.

  • Proactively gain interest from candidates by promoting vacancies and promoting the culture and values of Shoal to candidates and external stakeholders.

  • Maintain existing candidate database, ensuring key data is accurate and kept up-to-date, whilst ensuring that GDPR compliance is ensured at all times.

  • Build strong relationships with candidates, develop your network and talent pool, network and socialise when required.

  • Create and manage an active pipeline of strong potential candidates for future openings.

  • Pre-screening candidates over the telephone, ensuring a good level of vacancy briefing to gauge interest.

  • Hold virtual and face-to-face screening meetings and candidate preparatory interviews.

  • Carry out reference and qualification verification checks for all candidates.

  • Edit and format CVs for the Shoal brand.

  • Monitor start/end dates of existing workers to ensure a trusted Shoal workforce is serviced and maintained wherever possible.

  • Being the initial point of contact for candidates, promoting the Shoal values at all times.

  • Manage the candidate journey from the first point of contact through to securing a role.

  • Contact new starters on their first day and to check in weekly thereafter, to ensure consistent wellbeing of Shoal consultants.

  • Take part in recruitment events when required.

  • Manage and take ownership of individual targets.

  • Learn about the wider HSE sector and become a specialist for your network.

  • Regular contact with existing partners to ensure that Shoal consultants are representing the business in the best light, and to be aware of any project requirements or changes ahead of time., Previous recruitment experience is not a pre-requisite for this role. We are interested in speaking with people from many different backgrounds including (but not limited to) the below.

  • Sales Advisors

  • Telesales Operatives

  • Retail Assistants

  • Recruitment Consultants


  • The successful candidate must be experienced in the Microsoft Office suite: PowerPoint, Excel and Word; and familiarity with using online CRM systems would be beneficial.

  • The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator with the ability to actively listen and foster positive relationships with individuals at all levels.
