Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all costs related to construction projects, from initial estimates to final accounts. Your role will involve cost control, procurement, and contract administration. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent attention to detail., Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop cost-effective solutions
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
- Track and manage variations in project scope, ensuring appropriate documentation and cost control measures are in place
- Prepare and submit progress reports to stakeholders
- Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in legislation related to quantity surveying

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of cost control principles and techniques
- Proficient in using relevant software applications for quantity surveying
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with construction contracts and legal requirements
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
