Full Job Description

Due to further expansion, we require an additional Project Manager to join our team.

Holistic Fire Safety are a third party accredited, through the BM Trada Q-mark, fire stopping, fire door installation and maintenance schemes. The service provided is unique as the team hold the qualifications, experience and underpinning knowledge to not only specify materials and installation systems but also understand the wider impacts that installations can have on a building's overall fire strategy.

Holistic Fire Safety employ a Skills, Attitude, Knowledge and Experience (SAKE) approach in line with the government's review of the Building Regulations. A key component is how we approach our work and the attitude to ensuring that the task is always carried out to the best of our ability.

All installations completed are designed to meet the requirements of Building Regulations 2010, Regulation 4 (schedule 1) and Regulation 7. Fire stopping installations are more specifically related to Approved Document B Volume 1 2019 B3.

We take all clients through a seamless process of achieving legal compliance and assisting them to ensure continuous improvement.

Main Purpose of Job:

As a Project Manager, you'll be supporting the Operations Manager with various projects and areas of the business.

  • Recording job repair requests

  • Scheduling of job repairs

  • Provide regular customer project updates.

  • Responsible for a range of urgent job requests predominately involving the refurbishment of buildings across residential properties, with a focus on works that are safety critical and involve significant fire and general safety risk.

  • Ensuring the most cost-efficient approach to job scheduling

  • Pricing works carried out.

  • Purchasing of materials for jobs

  • Identify areas to improve margin.

  • Ensure correct recording of completed jobs within a timely manner.

  • Ensure the quality of work carried out is to the required standard/s

  • Identify any changes to the original scope of works to ensure variations are captured and accordingly claimed for.

  • Ensure employees carry out work safely

  • Attend site visits / meetings when required.

  • Assist the Operations and other Project Managers and with their tasks when required.

    Professional Qualification (e.g. HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma) or equivalent

  • Previous experience of construction/retrofit or fabric upgrades are preferred however not essential.

  • Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.

  • Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting.

  • Excellent team player whilst also holding the ability to work independently on own initiative.

  • Excellent time management skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines.

  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel

  • Good written and verbal communication skills and manner.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Friendly and professional manner.

  • Ability to handle pressure and good time-management.

  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to change and work effectively as part of a team.

  • Good organisational skills in being able to multi-task and re-prioritize at frequent intervals.

  • Full clean driving licence., A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
