Full Job Description

Due to some exciting projects coming to Dalston over the next 24 months we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer, to join our team based at our Nestlé UK&I, Dalston Factory.

The Project Engineer will manage and the design, installation, commissioning, of capital investment projects on site and support the start-up lead with the start-up phase of the project, within the defined scope of responsibility or specialisation.

Ensure that the objectives of the investment project charter, design specifications, Nestlé standards & international standards are implemented and adhered to.

To be successful in this key role we expect you to ideally have experience working in a FMCG manufacturing environment.

Experience managing CapEx projects is essential.

The ideal candidate will also have experience ensuring that the engineering side of projects have been implemented (e.g. buildings, equipment installations, piping, utilities, etc.) in accordance with the defined timing, cost and quality, the URS and the characteristics of a unit operation., Ideally degree educated in a mechanical, electrical or civil engineering field and / or completion of a recognised apprenticeship.

  • Technical knowledge and practical experience of working within Health & Safety legislation (PUWER CDM etc)



  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with the others eg, Safety Health & Environment, Production, Maintenance, QA, Contractors etc.


  • Leadership skills, ability to lead meetings delegate tasks to other members of the project team. A self-starter with initiative to research topics and work out solutions with minimal supervision.


  • Commitment to a strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, safety, compliance and quality. Work to a high standard with a strong attention to detail.


  • Personal relations based on trust and mutual respect. This implies a sociable attitude towards others, combined with an ability to communicate openly and frankly.
