Founded in London, in 2010, Glassworks is a fresh London fashion brand totally independent, style-obsessed and passionate believers in bricks-and-mortar boutiques as well as streamlined digital shopping. Our design-led stores and website are refreshed weekly with limited edition runs of completely new fashion meaning a constant feed of exciting new stuff to try on, helped along by the most dedicated and on it staff-turned-stylists on the planet. With the recent launch of our USA ecommerce site and fifth retail store, we are focused on scaling our omni channel offering all whilst maintaining a strong design aesthetic, stylish atmosphere in store and customer first focus.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a skilled and organised Production / Studio Manager with expertise in digital operations to join our team. The Production / Studio Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of photo and video shoots, from pre-production planning to post-production delivery. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience executing production briefs, as well as a strong creative eye and affinity for the brand. Studio management experience is essential and budget management experience is a plus.
This is a part-time freelance position working primarily from a photography studio based in East London. We expect the role to be 2-3 days per week depending on production volume. Please note, you must be willing to run shoots in various locations across the UK as well as internationally as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Management


  • Produce and execute shoots, including the creation of call sheets, coordinating logistics, overseeing on-set operations
  • Run the recruitment and bookings of all shoot crew members including models, actors, hair and makeup artists (HMUA), stylists and editors, coordinating scheduling to ensure availability and coverage

  • Manage shoot budgets and oversee crew invoicing, including authorizations and approvals ensuring that all expenditures are within budgetary constraints and accurately accounted for

  • Oversee digital operations on shoots including management of Capture One photo library software ensuring that all digital assets are captured, organised, and backed up according to department practices

  • Manage BTS videography and production on shoots, capturing behind-the-scenes content for promotional use

  • Maintain strict timekeeping and target adherence on shoots, ensuring that timelines and objectives are met efficiently

  • Work closely with the Director of Photography/Videography to continually improve production value and maintain brand standards

  • Work closely with marketing and ecommerce teams to ensure that all required assets are booked in and delivered on time and to brief/brand standards.

  • Maintain clear and open communication with all stakeholders throughout the production process.


  • Studio Management

  • Manage studio space/set installations and removals, including design/procurement of set build and props procurement with the branding team, and coordination of the set build crew
  • Maintain all studio equipment including photography/lighting kits (including tests, upgrades, repairs and replacements as needed), props, in-house styling kits, etc.

  • Ensure that all supplies remain stocked and set-ups fully packed away in studio downtime

  • Set and uphold high operational and organisational studio standards (including cleaning and maintenance) with all users of the studio space

  • Manage all shoot-related product ensuring that studio product inventory is correctly processed and returned to standard

    Proven experience in photography and/or videography production coordination, preferably related to fashion or consumer branding.

  • Proficiency in digital operations, including knowledge of capture software such as Capture One.

  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with great attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and to set and enforce high standards.

  • You understand how to translate a marketing/content brief into a production plan that is executed on time and budget.

  • You are someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, works through challenges and has a "can-do" attitude
