Full Job Description

We are looking for a Principal Researcher to provide maternity cover between July 2024 and June 2025. This is a senior role within the Research Team, taking responsibility for our population health portfolio and a small team of analysts.

As part of this role you will provide programme management, shape and undertake research and insight, and help shape and evaluate policies and strategies to improve population health.

The successful candidate will work across the system and will engage with a wide range of key stakeholders including policymakers, analysts and academia.

You will have strong research skills with a good understanding of a range of research methods as well as a solid understanding of the population health challenges we face, and experience of previous research in this area.

This will be complemented by strong programme management capabilities and a desire to make a difference.

Through building relationships with key stakeholders in the system and use of good communication skills you will influence others to place good intelligence and research at the heart of decision making.

You will also have a passion for building analytical and research confidence and capability while simultaneously creating conditions for innovation and a culture of continual learning.
