Pre-Inspection Operative

This role is working a 40 hour week (Monday - Thursday) 4 x 10 hour shifts

Job Purpose

To act as link between manufacturing and inspection to ensure dampers and other are presented to inspector in good order.

Key duties and responsibilities

Seek ways to improve processes and performance in line with company Continuous Improvement program

· Ensure tagging is well maintained and health and safety standards are maintained

· Engrave Wozair tags and project specific tags checking against the latest schedule. Liaise with Engineers or Inspectors.

· Component tagging and fixing specific traffolytes into the enclosure

· Programme and set the engraving machine for bespoke tagging

· Preparation of lids for dampers by riveting on toggles, traffolytes and tags. Apply relevant labels as required

· Produce a traffolyte tag for every damper produced and engrave a specific identification tag number

· Allocate a tag number to dampers before inspection checking sizes against the schedule.

· Provide the inspection team with a record of the weights for dampers.

· Assist the Inspection team as required

· Ability to drill dampers or lids to make the tags fit

· Clean and de-burr dampers prior to dispatch

· Replenish stock of labels, ink for labelling and open/close labels as required

· Previous manufacturing experience required

· Good communication skills

· Ability to organise and prioritise workload

· 5S training,
