Plant Area Assistant

Our family run garden centre is searching for a plant area assistant to join our team. Helping our customers to find the right plants for their garden, you will have previous horticultural experience, and a smile on your face with a positive attitude. This is a great opportunity to use your horticultural knowledge in a fast paced retail environment. Horticultural qualifications are not necessary, we're looking for someone who really knows and loves working with plants. You will work with our plant area team to merchandise and care for our living stock, as well as helping customers to identify plants and support them in identifying and dealing with any pest or disease issues.

Responsibilities and Duties

Main duties include:

• Assisting customers and maintaining a high standard of customer service at all times


• Plant care and presentation


• Receiving and checking deliveries from our suppliers


• Good communication with other members of staff and suppliers

This is a full time position, with a regular working rota covering 5 days a week, which will include weekend working
