Full Job Description

  • Searches; registrations, completions, Land Registry notifications and rectifications; compliance with internal property document processes.

  • Sealing of property documents including liaison with clients

  • Deeds management - retrieval and return of deeds through a bespoke system

  • Document control of all property documents requiring sealing, liaison with other Eversheds offices regarding completion.

  • Daily interaction with clients and the wider legal team.

  • Maintaining all required databases.

  • Due diligence on property titles.

  • Verification of information (electronic and paper-based).

  • Management of documents (electronic and paper-based).

  • Assistance on transaction management, including research.

  • Complete all other tasks required of a paralegal working In-House in a utility company.

    Experience of working within a commercial property environment.

  • Experience of Microsoft Office packages.

  • Ability to prioritise and effectively manage time.

  • Self-starter but able to ask for help when required.

  • Positive attitude.

  • Flexible approach to problem-solving.

  • Team player with excellent communication skills.


  • Key Competencies:
  • Familiarity with use of applications such as Land Registry Direct, DocuSign, Excel.

  • Ability to communicate with clients at all levels.

  • Some background knowledge of property law and title registration

  • Detailed and organised approach

    Our team

    MLS is a novel and pretty unique arrangement for the provision of legal services. In April 2018, Eversheds Sutherland won, via a competitive tender process, a multi-year managed legal services contract with a utilities client and took over the existing legal services team (Onsite Team) from the client's former managed legal service provider.
