Full Job Description
- Searches; registrations, completions, Land Registry notifications and rectifications; compliance with internal property document processes.
- Sealing of property documents including liaison with clients
- Deeds management - retrieval and return of deeds through a bespoke system
- Document control of all property documents requiring sealing, liaison with other Eversheds offices regarding completion.
- Daily interaction with clients and the wider legal team.
- Maintaining all required databases.
- Due diligence on property titles.
- Verification of information (electronic and paper-based).
- Management of documents (electronic and paper-based).
- Assistance on transaction management, including research.
- Complete all other tasks required of a paralegal working In-House in a utility company.
Experience of working within a commercial property environment. - Experience of Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to prioritise and effectively manage time.
- Self-starter but able to ask for help when required.
- Positive attitude.
- Flexible approach to problem-solving.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with use of applications such as Land Registry Direct, DocuSign, Excel.
- Ability to communicate with clients at all levels.
- Some background knowledge of property law and title registration

Our team
MLS is a novel and pretty unique arrangement for the provision of legal services. In April 2018, Eversheds Sutherland won, via a competitive tender process, a multi-year managed legal services contract with a utilities client and took over the existing legal services team (Onsite Team) from the client's former managed legal service provider.
