Full Job Description

As a Business Development Manager (National) at HS Practice Sales, you will be a driving force in identifying and proactively engaging dental valuation target practices and groups, to broker their business, to a developed network of buyers. You will also work with group buyers and DSOs to clearly understand buying requirements, identifying potential targets to fulfil those requirements., Lead Generation and Sales:

  • Actively seek out new business opportunities within the dental industry, focusing on high value (£1m+ turnover) practices and groups.

  • Build a strong understanding and relationships with the buyer base, concentrating on groups and DSOs, identifying opportunities to fulfil their requirements.

  • Utilise your knowledge of dental practice economics to identify and engage potential clients in need of valuation and brokerage services.

  • Secure meetings with potential clients and present HS Practice Sales' s value proposition effectively.


  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dental practice owners, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive solutions tailored to their needs.

  • Gather requisite data/information from clients for valuations and collaborate with the office appraisal team.


  • Collaboration and Teamwork:
  • Work closely with Field Sales Consultants (FSCs), Business Consultants (BCs) and other One Schein regional stakeholders to identify clients in need of valuation and brokerage services.

  • Foster an environment of teamwork, ensuring purchasers of practices become long-term Henry Schein customers.

  • Communicate effectively with the office admin team to manage practices for sale.


  • Educational and Networking Events:
  • Identify and engage with relevant dental networking groups dental associations, dental accounting, and legal professionals to conduct live presentations.

  • Educate the industry about Henry Schein Practice Sales superior valuation and brokerage services.

  • Leverage your network and reputation to promote Henry Schein as a trusted partner in the dental industry.


  • Market Analysis and Strategy:
  • Keep abreast of market trends and competitors within the dental industry.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of sales strategies to achieve business targets.

    The role requires a highly motivated, proactive individual with an extensive network and knowledge of the UK dental industry., Demonstrated passion for building strong customer relationships and delivering business solutions.

  • Strong understanding of dental practice economics.

  • Proven experience in a sales or business development role, preferably within the dental or healthcare industry.

  • Excellent networking skills with a strong presence within the dental community.

  • Collaborative mindset, with experience working in a team-oriented environment.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a sales territory effectively.

  • Knowledge of the M&A landscape within the dental industry is preferred.
