Full Job Description

Your main building fabric duties will include:

  • Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance, small projects, and a range of building-related tasks including repairs to doors, tiling, plastering, flooring, and general carpentry

  • Attending callouts/breakdowns and carrying out remedial repairs or replacements

  • Preparation and submission of materials lists and time estimates for return remedial works

  • Working predominately Monday to Friday during our clients' opening hours, but some flexibility will be needed for start and finish times and out-of-hours working, including night shifts from time to time

  • Providing emergency and out-of-hours on-call cover (as part of a rota)

    If you're an experienced Building Fabric Engineer or Multi-skilled Carpenter based in the Swindon area and possess good all-round carpentry and building-related skills, we would love to hear from you! You'll have a problem-solving approach, a high level of technical ability, and be passionate about delivering high-quality work and customer service. The mobile nature of the job and the changing needs of our customers means you'll need to be flexible with your hours and adaptable to meet client expectations., You'll be an experienced carpenter with working knowledge of other related trades, including but not limited to door repairs, tiling, plastering, and flooring

  • We'd like you to have worked in a field-based multi-site, maintenance position before.

  • Be passionate about delivering a first-class service whatever the challenges, relishing the opportunity to resolve problems and exceed expectations

  • Tech savvy and quick to pick up different IT portals and apps

  • Able to gain an enhanced DBS and have a full driving licence

    Salary range: £31,200 - £35,360 + £200/week on-call allowance (when scheduled on-call)
