Full Job Description

To assist the Team Leader in providing a world class Logistics Service to both internal and external customs across all sites and customer operations.

Ensure that components and materials are correctly, accurately and efficiently stored and where appropriate comply with Health & Safety best practise requirements (eg COSHH).

Provide timely and accurate issuing of components against build requirements, works orders or discreet requests.

Ensure all items received in through goods in are processed and ready for putaway within 4 hours of receipt and are accurately booked onto the Sage 200 system.

Support the accurate maintenance of Sage 200 Manufacturing Environment through disciplined execution of transactions.,

  • Ensure full compliance with all Health and Safety Legislation and practices as is currently in place within the operation. And to raise any H&S concerns as and when they arise to the Team Leader.

  • As instructed by the Production Planner, ensure all work orders and authorised pick requests are completed within agreed timescales, ensuring FIFO method of stock control is used at all times. And are picked and processed according to the correct Allocating and Picking Process.

  • Picked components and work orders/pick requests are transacted correctly and accurately within the Sage 200 system, with serial or batch numbers correctly issued and allocated, and presented in the correct packaging.

  • Ensuring all items that have been accepted into Logistics Area are processed using the Goods In Receiving Procedure and are booked in accurately and within agreed Receiving Process Timescales.

  • Ensure that all components available for putaway are done so into the correct location in such a way that adheres to FIFO; and protects; quality, stock rotation, batch traceability and serial numbering.

  • Conduct cycle counts of stock items as directed by the Team Leader and complete all appropriate documentation accurately and in a timely manner. And to conduct any re-counts or checks as requested by the team Leader.

  • Assist Team Leader by transporting goods between sites as and when requested providing the correct driving licence protocols are followed.

  • Liaise other areas of the business across all sites as and when required.

  • Assist Team Leader to set up and manage the stores facility with appropriate storage, locations and access. Where necessary assist in changing stock locations; stock items; storage site and storage medium as requested by Team Leader.

  • Support all stock movement transactions in a timely and accurate fashion in order that the stock and manufacturing controls are fully effective.

  • Assist Team Leader in ensuring the most effective and efficient stock storage methods are in place and are being used.

  • Any other tasks that are reasonably assigned to you by your line manager, including development activities, which are within your capability and grade.

    Previous Logistics Experience (1 year Minimum).

  • Previous experience of working in Automotive/Aerospace Environment desirable.
