Full Job Description

Working within the Advanced Ceramics you will have the great opportunity to increase your knowledge by learning the technical field aspect of applied ceramics in a manufacturing environment as well as having the change to develop analytical skills and drive continuous improvement by supporting the business unit.,

  • Learn the ceramics theory and apply it in the manufacturing field.

  • Learn to operate different production / testing equipment as part of the manufacturing


  • / test process of the products.
  • Document test, processes and present reports for products as required using


  • SharePoint documentation system.
  • Carry out qualification procedures for products / materials guided by the production engineering department.

  • A part of the production engineering team, the post holder will guarantee efficiency, productivity, quality, and profitability and enable products to be produced at the rate needed to meet customer demand.

  • Establish productive, dynamic, working relationships with the Engineering and


  • Manufacturing departments, maintaining regular associations through meetings and communications to discuss any issues.
  • Be aware of Data that can lead to an opportunity for improvement - this can include non-conformance, yield/scrap data, improvements to documentation/drawings, training, efficiency of process equipment.

    5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including Maths and English, preferable with an


  • Engineering Degree.
  • Strong background in Engineering Manufacturing environments

  • Experience in process control / production

  • Experience in process continuous improvements

  • Data analysis

  • Managing projects

  • Day to day control

  • Knowledge of quality tools

  • Knowledge of IFS ERP software and Microsoft SharePoint would be beneficial.


  • EXPERIENCE

    The ideal candidate will have experience working in Manufacturing Environment,
    Material / Passive Electronic industry, Industrial processes, or related roles. Candidates from similar process / production backgrounds will also be considered., The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, result orientated and willing to take on new challenges. They will also have excellent people skills, be able to pay attention to detail and an ability to lead a problem-solving team.,
  • You must be an effective communicator and have proven experience developing and maintaining effective working relationships with both clients and colleagues.
