Management Accountant

We're recruiting for the role of Management Accountant focusing on cost accounting to support our finance team. Provide insight and analysis into site cost structure and product costings, monitor stock held in multiple locations across the UK, provide solid account focus in key area's of manufacturing process ie waste levels.

• To provide insight and analysis into site cost structure and make recommendations to improve overall site cost effectiveness.


• To provide the site management team and head office with concise, accurate and timely financial information in line with company policy and procedures, specifically weekly, monthly and forecast management accounts and related KPIs.


• Deputize for Finance Manager in their absence.


• Manage 1 role within department (Assistant Management Accountant)., To provide insight and analysis into site cost structure and make recommendations to improve overall site cost effectiveness.


• Key member of site middle management team driving continuous improvement.


• Responsible for the accurate reporting of the weekly / monthly management accounts incorporating as much analysis and narrative as to bring the accounts to life for site management and external reporting purposes.


• Prepare proper inventory reconciliation to substantive value of inventory and conduct account reconciliations including stock held at offsite third party locations.


• Continually review financial processes and procedures to ensure the most efficient production of reporting requirements.
  
  Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA with management accountancy experience in a manufacturing environment.


• Excellent PC skills - specifically advanced Excel, Power point, Experience of Dynamics AX (or similar) manufacturing and cost accounting systems


• Dynamic, pro-active and self-motivated the role requires individuals to operate in a complex and fast moving environment.


• Experience of preparing periodic management accounts in a standard costing system with strong analytical and costing skills.


• Must be a highly effective communicator both verbally and in writing.


• High degree of self-motivation, being able to work effectively without supervision


• Must demonstrate willingness and ability to work with others to achieve common goals., A-Level or equivalent (preferred), accounting: 3 years (required)
