We're seeking a dedicated Maintenance Operative to join our team at HMP Forest Bank. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in maintaining and improving the infrastructure of the prison, ensuring its safe and efficient operation., Your Role as a Maintenance Operative
HMP Forest Bank have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Operative to join our FM team. You will carry out maintenance and repairs to ensure the safe and efficient running of the establishment. You will carry out all maintenance repairs, planned preventative maintenance tasks and project work in order to ensure that operational support is provided to the establishment at all times.
Working within a prison means that your work directly contributes to the safety and operational efficiency of the facility and therefore a key aspect of the role is ensuring compliance with safety code and regulation. You will be expected to keep accurate records of maintenance and complete any administration actions in a timely manner. You would also be expected to be use your initiative to make decisions based on manufacturers documents, such as schematics and operational instructions.

    Salary of £29,160

  • Monday to Friday, 7:30 to 16:00 with 1 hour lunch break.

  • Rotational weekend and late shifts also required.
