Litigation Executive / Solicitor

We are looking for an experienced (3+ years) Litigation Executive/Solicitor to join us at Emerald Law.

The successful candidate will be handling a caseload of mainly Housing Disrepair matters but may include some Personal Injury and/or Japanese Knotweed claims. Experience in these areas is not essential as full training will be provided and materials regularly updated.

The role will include but is not limited to:

• Managing pre and post-litigation Housing Disrepair claims


• Complying with and having knowledge of the relevant pre-action protocols and CPR


• Drafting and serving Letters of Claim


• Issuing Court proceedings


• Liaising with third parties such as Defendants/Experts/Counsel.


• Drafting witness statements


• Engaging in negotiations


• Building relationships with client's and providing regular updates and thorough advice


• Conducting legal research


• Reviewing expert evidence and disclosure


• Risk assessing throughout the case
  
  Knowledge and understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules.


• Ability to research and understand relevant protocols, case law and legislative changes.


• Excellent telephone manner.


• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.


• Computer proficient.


• Time management.


• 3+ years litigation experience handling fast track and/or multi-track claims.
