Full Job Description

In the Motor Fast Track team we advise and defend litigated Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims for a number of insurer Clients as well as bringing counterclaims. Fast Track can be categorised as the civil track for personal injury claims over £1,000 and under £25,000 or property damage, which is over £10,000. The claims that are received are usually for both special and general damages. We deal with liability and quantum dispute instructions for both commercial and domestic insurers. We also deal with causation, low value credit hire, infant claims and indemnity issues.
You will have full responsibility for a caseload of Motor Fast Track litigated files upon which we report to Clients and provide our advice on liability and quantum, procedural updates and reserves. As we deal with injury claims we review medical report and records and provide quantum advice. We have daily administrative tasks such as dealing with incoming post and filing and we use a case management system in order to pro-actively manage our caseload.
You can expect to receive exposure to a variety of matters, from minor injury accidents to more complex accidents and procedural issues. Working with established Clients and building rapport with their customers. We gain knowledge from working closely with colleagues who have a variety of experience. There are opportunities to progress both within and outside of the team.

  • Previous experience running a Motor Fast Track Insurance Litigated caseload with a proven track record of success both from a financial results and client service perspective

  • Defendant background

  • Computer literate

  • The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, whilst working to strict deadlines

  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to quickly and carefully analyse files and sensitive data

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the importance and use of Management Information
