Junior Tool Designer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Designer to join our team. As a Junior Designer, you will work closely with our design team to assist in the creation and development of various design projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience and grow their skills in the design industry., 1.To work within a multi-functional Design team, taking ownership of developing approved concept to thermoformed production tools for the RD and KMD60.

2.To assist in challenging the costing matrices before designing each tool set leading to improvements, wherever possible.

3.Responsible for ordering materials and components required for the manufacture and assembly of the production tools. Ensuring all parts arrive onsite in time for manufacture and tooling sign off.

4.Responsible for providing the CNC Department with a tool pack containing a tool checklist, bill of materials and all information required to manufacture in a timely manner.

5.To assist with the scheduling and planning of tooling manufacture and improving workflow through the tooling process.

6.When assigned by the Senior Tool Design Engineer, review and action tooling improvements identified by Production and Planning team.

7.Assist with troubleshooting during sign off of new toolsets.

8.Assist with troubleshooting during new tool commissioning in production.

9.To appreciate the full lifecycle of products produced on site.

10.To ensure that the computer software and equipment is kept in working order and that any problems, defects and damage is reported to the Senior Tool Design Engineer or the Design & Technical Manager.

11.To keep the Project Maintenance database up to date with technical drawings and design hours

12.On occasion, to work alongside the Tool room team to aid workflow through the workshop.
