Full Job Description
- To help lead a successful rollout of iPads, developing and documenting a suitable framework for use across the MAT
- Promote innovative uses of iPads in a teaching and learning environment
- To support all staff and students in the use of ICT
- To assist the Senior ICT technician
- To help maintain ICT equipment
- To respond to 'call outs' from staff
- To carry out routine maintenance and repair of ICT equipment including replacement of consumables and cleaningTo assist with
- the training of staff and students in the use of iOS, selected apps and any other associated ICT
- To help maintain internet facilities and other learning technology for curriculum use
- To produce and present support materials for staff and students
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons you are responsible for or come into contact with
- Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
- Be aware of, support and ensure equal opportunities for all
- Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school
- Appreciate and support the role of other professionals
- Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required
- Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required, Training for all pathways of your IT career (support technician, network technician, digital communications technician)
- Specialising in a portfolio of evidence for the Support Technician pathway

- Bi-weekly virtual classroom training on all options of the apprenticeships;
- Access to virtual labs to develop technical competency
- Monthly work-based coaches visits and competency checks 9 am
- Personal Learning and Thinking Skills and Key Skills development
- Option for vendor and technical certificates- e.g. CompTIA
- Functional Skills in English and maths if required, This is a great opportunity for you to develop skills that will enhance your networking career. On passing your Primary Goal apprenticeship, you will gain professional recognition for the Register of IT Technician (RITTech)

Wages explained
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
Minimum Wage Rates
37 hours per week - Monday to Friday. Typical working pattern: 8.00 am - 4.00 pm (Mon - Thurs), 8.00 am - 3.30 pm (Fri) taking a lunch break of 30 minutes., You could reduce your training time, or finish your apprenticeship faster, if you have relevant prior learning or experience. This could be relevant:
