Full Job Description

The IT Operations Director is responsible for strategic IT leadership, operational management of our Global IT teams, as well as security, governance and compliance across our 19 studios worldwide. This is an opportunity to provide strategic and operational leadership to a global team of IT professionals across customer support, security, infrastructure, back-office, procurement and project management.

Strategic IT Leadership

  • Maintain, update and renew business continuity, data security and disaster recover plans for internal and external data.

  • Identify future challenges in the Global IT landscape and develop mitigating plans.

  • Ensure the Global IT team is robust, scalable and with no single-points of failure, taking into account awareness of future market challenges and technological developments.


  • Operational Management

  • Ensure our IT operations are capable of supporting required performance for local and remote users, with capacity to ensure projects can meet key milestones.

  • Provide clear and effective leadership to a globally distributed team of 30+ IT professionals across customer support, security, infrastructure, back-office, procurement and project management.

  • Manage the Group budget allocation for IT so that we have the correct systems, tools and people to meet studio requirements.

  • Establish and lead robust vendor management practices to ensure we have multiple purchasing options for best value equipment, software and services procurement.


  • Security, Governance and Compliance

  • Oversee best practice and strategic initiatives that that allow Group to maintain our ISO27001 standard compliance and accreditation.

  • Ensure Group security processes are in place to secure internal and external data whilst maintaining accessibility and stability globally.

  • Support the Groups' multi-national legal compliance commitments.

  • Ensure we maintain industry-leading security processes, tools and have the right people in the right place to protect internal and external data., As a people business, the success of our people is the success of our company.   • Significant and proven experience as Head of an IT function.

  • Proven experience managing the operations of a multi-disciplinary IT function, including controlling and distributing significant budget allocations.

  • Be a proven people leader with the ability to create a sustainable and scalable people structure that supports the future of our Group IT function.

  • Experience aligning a Global IT function with key strategic business objectives.

  • Significant experience managing complex IT tasks involving multiple stakeholders or business units, with decision-making that substantially impacts short-term results positively.
