Full Job Description

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for all facilities services, including estates maintenance, domestic services, portering, security, catering, and waste management.

  • Develop and implement facilities management strategies that align with the Trust's goals

  • Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of all facilities services, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality across the Trust.

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of hospital buildings and equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and industry best practices.

  • Manage contracts and relationships with external service providers and contractors, ensuring value for money and high-quality service delivery.

  • Support the implementation of a new electronic meal ordering system

  • Produce regular reports on a timely basis and to a high standard

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, NHS standards, and regulatory requirements, including health and safety, infection control, and environmental sustainability.

  • Lead on the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to facilities management.

  • Act as the principal point of contact for facilities-related issues, ensuring effective communication and resolution of concerns.
