Inspector

ASG are recruiting for an Inspector to join the afternoon shift. The successful candidate will ensure that products manufactured meet the requirements of the followed specification and ensure the quality of incoming and outgoing material.,

• First off and patrolling inspections of finished products against drawings and route cards and standard operating procedures.


• Checking of incoming steel stock and consumables (goods inwards inspection).


• Control of non-conforming product as per company procedure.


• Continuous improvement of all products and processes within your working environment.


• Monitoring operations to ensure that they meet production standards.


• Reporting to QHSE Manager, all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.


• Compete any relevant paperwork relating to checks.


• Promote audit standards.


• Ensure company policies and procedures are being followed.


• Assist in resolving quality-related issues and adhering to deadlines.


• Any reasonable request that your immediate supervisor or manager may ask of you.
  
  · Excellent attention to detail.


· Basic computer skills - Microsoft Office.

· Use of basic measuring equipment.

· Good communication abilities.

· Conscientious and organised.

Person Specification

· Be able to work within a team but also on your own initiative.

  Hours: 39 hours per week - 14:00 - 22:00 (13.00 - 20.00 on Fridays)


Please note, the hourly rate is inclusive of the company supplementary shift pay due to the role being based on afternoons.
