Description Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our UK Cluster HR team based at our Braunton site on a flexible hybrid working basis. To be successful in the role we are a looking for a new colleague who will bring with them a strong HR generalist background gained through roles supporting colleagues at all levels from Operator up to site leadership. Our Braunton site is one of three locations in the UK and currently hosts around 600 colleagues working in a variety of roles and work patterns.

Scope of the Role

The role reports to the Cluster HR Director and would join a team supporting the UK, Ireland (commercial) and Australia. There is another HR Business Partner based at the same site, and the HRBP team all work very closely with our People Solutions (HR Operations, Talent Acquisition and Payroll) and Centres of Excellence (Total Reward, Organizational Development and TDE&I) teams to support our c.900 UK colleagues. Primary partnerships will be with the Site Lead (Senior Director, Operations) and Head of Site Quality, alongside their broader leadership teams. Specific industry experience is not a pre-requisite, although experience gained in a similar environment with a blend of both operational and professional teams would be advantageous, as would experience working in a shift-based environment.

The role will cover broad generalist HRBP activities including:

-Partner with leaders of people at all levels in the organisation to support them in their growth as leaders, providing full life cycle support such as:

-Team management and development
-Employee relations awareness, prevention and resolution
-Continued engagement and evolution of culture
-Utilisation of tools and data analytics to proactively identify, problem solve and deliver solutions to business needs.
-Work closely with the rest of our HR function within the People Solutions (HR Operations) and Centre of Excellence teams to deliver great experiences through moments that matter on the employee life cycle journey. Including but not limited to:

-Onboarding and offboarding
-Family and other types of leave
-Milestone activities
-Deliver transformation programmes and other required projects.
-Take the lead for on specific elements of our UK HRBP team strategy, likely to include employee engagement, learning & development, local site leadership strategy.

Experience Required

The successful candidate will:

-Be a great business partner, blending curiosity, challenge, commerciality and risk, to support and grow our colleagues and leaders to be at their best.
-Thrive in situations requiring great judgement, balancing the need to be hands on with the right support to enable our leaders to be more self-sufficient.
-Have a strong background showing great development within progressively more senior HR generalist positions.
-May have worked as a HRBP, HR Officer, HR Advisor, HR Manager or even a Head of HR in a smaller organisation and is looking for that next step up into support a larger and more diverse client group.
-Is likely to have at least 3-4 years of strong HR generalist experience, supported by a relevant educational background (Degree qualified or equivalent experience) and associated professional qualification (CIPD level 5 or higher would be ideal).
-Great with systems and data, proactive and has a great level of attention to detail.
-Successful problem solver, skilled at connecting the dots and thinking about the bigger picture.
