Holiday Activities Supervisor

Here at More Leisure Community Trust our goal is to get more people, more active, more often. We provide affordable access to a wide range of sports and leisure facilities to support healthier and happier people across all segments of the local community. To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for Holiday Scheme Supervisor to join our fun and vibrant team at our Warsop Health Hub centre.

This is an exciting brand-new role funded by the council which has been created for the school holidays which you can be part of. In this role you will supervise your team of Holiday Scheme Assistants to plan and deliver a safe, fun and engaging program of sports, arts and craft activities that meets the needs of our customers who will be aged 4 to 12 years old during the school holidays.

Your days will be varied and will include providing activity sessions, coaching various sports, handing out lunch bags and making sure the kids are enjoying themselves, are well looked after and have the best experience possible.

This is your chance to be involved in in a fantastic new scheme keeping children entertained during the school holidays and you will go home each day with a huge sense of satisfaction at the difference you have made.

We share your passion for leisure, and we will offer a safe, fun, and professional working environment with excellent development opportunities, including supporting you in achieving Swimming Teacher and/or Lifeguarding qualifications which will enable you to take on casual roles at your local Centre during term times and school holidays if you so wish. You will also receive a free gym membership across our Mansfield Leisure centres.

Serco manages these facilities on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Trust.

First and foremost, you will need to have excellent customer service skills, communication and organisational skills as well as be comfortable working with children. We welcome applications from candidates aged 16 and above.

We are looking for candidates that have previous supervisory experience are outgoing, enthusiastic, and highly motivated to be considered for this role.

Lastly, it's desirable that you hold a sport specific, play work qualification, first aid certificate as well as child protection however this is not essential as full training will be provided.
