What you will do in the role…You will report to the Health and Safety Manager and support the delivery of H&S compliance across all premises of the Vita Health Group estates portfolio.
You will be working directly with the central Facilities department to ensure the Health and Safety management system is being monitored appropriately using the Plan Do Check Act methodology.
You'll ensure The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all subsequent regulations are adhered to including the management of Health and Safety at Work regulations, The Workplace regulations, Display Screen Equipment, Manual Handling, Electrical, Fire, the provision and Use of Work Equipment regulations.
You will lead on DSE and DSE Assessments for Vita Health Group, assessing colleagues via Teams, providing advice and support to our colleagues.
You will review and complete risk assessments for Vita Health Group and lead on Risk Assessment Working Group to review Risk Assessments to ensure they are suitable and sufficient.
Throughout this position, you will take on a leading role in a growing company with exposure to other key business stakeholders. You will have the ability to apply your health and safety experience and best practices with Display Screen Equipment and Risk Assessments whilst being part of a wider facilities team. You will have the opportunity to establish yourself in a fast-paced dynamic department with exposure to all facets of Health and Safety and Facilities and Estates and engage with colleagues to improve their Health and Wellbeing.
This role is remote based but you will be required to attend a face to face monthly team meeting at Crystal Palace or a Team away day.

  • General experience of Health and Safety

  • IOSH qualification

  • Experience in DSE assessing

  • Report writing, good verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritise work.
