Full Job Description

We're searching for a top-tier professional to join our team as the Country IT Head. In this role, you'll spearhead IT operations and drive initiatives across the UK & Ireland. Your strategic vision and leadership will shape the direction of our IT function, working closely with our global Siemens Mobility IT product lines and collaborating within the IT region Europe. Reporting to the Mobility CFO locally and functionally to the head of IT Region EMEA (Europe), you'll play a pivotal role in steering our IT landscape to great success.

You'll make an impact by

  • Leading a team of 35 IT professionals, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance work culture.

  • Leading all aspects of the implementation, maintenance, and support of IT systems, infrastructure, and applications in UK & Ireland while collaborating closely with the IT delivery units.

  • Collaborating with business leaders to understand their technology needs and align IT initiatives with business objectives.

  • Taking part in the transformation to a data-driven company, adopting global solutions, and co-generating value with our business units.

  • Ensuring the delivery of reliable and secure IT services, including network, hardware, software, and data management in a challenging, international setting.

  • Jointly managing vendor relationships and contracts with the functions of 'Vendor and License Management,' ensuring compliance and value for money.

  • Developing and managing the regional IT budget, ensuring cost-effective investments and resource allocation.

  • Acting as a point of escalation for IT issues, providing timely resolution and effective communication to stakeholders

    Holding a master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Demonstrating a consistent track record within IT service management and successful digital transformation initiatives.

  • Bringing long-term experience in a leadership role overseeing IT operations in a regional or multi-site environment, coupled with a strong technical background, and understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.

  • Possessing in-depth knowledge of industry-standard processes, methodologies, and tools in digital transformation.

  • Exhibiting excellent leadership and people management skills, capable of motivating and sculpting a strong team.

  • Demonstrating experience in strategic planning, budget management, and vendor relationship management.

  • Showcasing strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and effective solutions.

  • Fluent English language skills
