Full Job Description

  • Care of livestock, feeding, routine cleaning out and bedding, seeing in new stock, working with the Farm Vet

  • Operating various items of farm machinery, tractor driving, telehandler operation and associated implements

  • Learning the administrative aspects of Farm operation

    Level 2 General Farm Worker - Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours

  • NPTC Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Pesticides

  • HABC Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)

  • Level 1 Functional Skills in Maths and English (Exemptions Apply)

  • to E) Essential, This will be a physically demanding role and care of livestock takes place in all seasons and weathers. Due to the nature and location of the role, a full clean driving licence and own transport is required.

    We are a mixed livestock farm with both a Pedigree Dexter Beef Suckler Herd and a separate herd of Store Cattle. In addition to this we produce both Free Range and Organic Broiler Chicken for some of the major UK retailers. We are Red Tractor, RSPCA and Organic Farmers and Growers assured.
