Full Job Description

The moment a guest steps into our hotel, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As Front Office Manager you'll deliver this through managing all aspects of the front office including guest registration, night porter services, concierge/shuttle bus services. You'll also create the warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in any location offering True Hospitality for all.

What will I do?

· Ensure the front office teamdelivers a great service, professional attention, and personal recognition to all guests

· Ensure guests are greeted upon arrival and make time to engage with guests. Respond appropriately to guest complaints, solicit feedback and build relationships to drive continuous improvement in guest experience

· Conduct routine inspections of the front office and public areas and take immediate actions to correct any deficiencies

· Assist in managing day-to-day staffing needs, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for team members.

· Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to improve team member performance

· Educate and train team members in compliance with laws and safety regulations.

· Ensure all team members are properly trained and have the tools and equipment to carry out their duties

· Ensure your team are properly trained on systems, security, service, and quality standards

· Monitor budget and control labour costs and expenses with a focus on rate strategy, building initiatives and inventory management

· Oversee night audit function and preparation of daily financial reports

· Develop plans to increase occupancy and ADR through walk-ins and upselling at the front desk

· Check billing instructions and guest credit for compliance with hotel credit policy and ensure all transactions are handled in a secure manner

· Perform other duties as assigned. Serve as manager on duty

This role is very "hands on", leading from the front and working with your team to ensure every guest receives high quality Holiday Inn branded experience.

· Experience in this role or similar within the hotel industry (At least 2 years)

· Strong People Management skills

· Good Organisational Skills

· Good Communication Skills

· Strong knowledge of the local area

· Knowledge of Reservation Systems in particular Opera,

    Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport is a busy 241-bedroom multi-faceted hotel, located by Birmingham Airport, NEC, Resorts World and the M42 motorway.

    This role is a permanent full-time role, working 5 days out of 7 per week.

    Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
