Working as part of a project team, you support the delivery of long-term research projects in line with the business and consumer needs. You plan and execute projects from hypothesis through experimental work to result interpretation, write recommendations and disseminate reports.

How you will contribute

With the support and guidance of a manager, you will develop and execute projects, effectively communicating their statuses and highlighting risks and issues. You will plan and lead bench-top experimental work plans and trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements and support scale-up to pilots and factory scales. In addition, you will plan and conduct research activities including literature reviews, IP landscaping, analytical testing needs and consumer science testing and independently plan, lead and co-ordinate project-related activities. In this role, you will also maintain experimental workspaces and equipment to ensure compliance with food safety and quality policies and maintain quality standards system, safety and standard operating procedures in accordance with good manufacturing process and HACCP and implement corrective measures when necessary.

  • Applying your scientific understanding to experiment planning (formulating hypotheses) and analysis of results (validation of results against hypothesis)

  • Identifying problems proactively and in creating and implementing solutions independently

  • Communicating effectively verbally and in writing, including writing technical reports
