Full Job Description

The team's charter is to partner with a broad group of stakeholders to build out the end-to end Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure, while optimizing investments and enabling accounting solutions that are scalable and mitigate risk. As a key member of the team you'll be responsible for assisting the business in managing total cost of ownership and cost in a manufacturing industry and working on solutions for new initiatives focused on the next

generation of Microsoft's Cloud infrastructure. The role will collaborate with Microsoft partners globally, including Finance, Engineering, Azure Core Business, Procurement, and Business Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the business, engineering, and launch teams to document

  • requirements and deploy an ERP/MRP system for materials resource planning.

  • Assist Finance, Engineering and Manufacturing teams in establishing and maintaining

  • a Cost of Goods Sold reporting for both internal and external reporting.

  • Liaise with internal and external auditors and lead collection and preparation of all

  • audit documentation.

  • Lead Azure Fiber accounting OPEX and COGS requirements in transition from R&D to

  • deployment and production center

  • Manage general month close and ROB processes for accounting for the Azure Fiber

  • business

  • Identify and analyze discrepancies utilizing reporting from multiple financial

  • databases, then driving resolution by leading discussions with several key stakeholder teams

  • (ie. Finance, Sourcing, Engineering, Vendors).

  • Work independently or in partnerships with cost accounting, asset management,

  • reporting, process enablement to ensure timely and accurate fiscal close cycles.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, SOX and MS Policy; enable controls to safeguard

  • assets and accurate financial reporting.

  • Embrace inclusion, a growth mindset, and enable culture and norms that support consistent

    Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, or related field

  • AND extensive accounting or finance experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, or related field AND reasonable accounting or finance experience.

  • Or equivalent Experience

  • Excellent analytical, collaboration, and time management skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with all levels of management

  • Preliminary understanding of GAAP/IFRS, Internal Controls, and SOX

  • Demonstrated systems and process improvement experience

  • Must be extremely collaborative and comfortable dealing with ambiguity, influencing across multiple complex organizations, creating effective internal business partnerships

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, have excellent attention to detail, and work effectively under deadlines


  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous accounting experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables/Cash Application, Supply Chain (preferred).
