Full Job Description

As a Finance Assistant focused on credit control you will be ensuring we are proactive in our efforts to secure payments from our customers within terms agreed.

What will you be doing day to day?

  • Contacting customers to secure payment to terms & for overdue invoices.

  • Investigating and working with colleagues within the business/depots to resolve customer queries promptly.

  • Dealing with invoice queries & customer credits.

  • Ensuring accurate maintenance and record of the Sales Ledger on the Sage system at all times.

  • Managing bank reconciliations.

  • Processing customer correspondence, ensuring accounts are maintained effectively.

  • Working closely with team members to provide support as required and towards achievement of business goals.


  • Alongside contact with our customers, you will also be working closely with our team of Automotive professionals, troubleshooting where needed, ensuring we meet our service levels and keep our customers and network up to date at all times!

  • Credit control experience (1 year + essential)

  • Customer focused, able to apply a confident approach when communicating with customers and other stakeholders.

  • Highly organized, able to demonstrate keen attention to processes and procedures to expected timelines.

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.

  • Able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • AAT Qualified or working towards (preferred).

    Own transport is preferred due to location and free parking is available on site.,
  • Credit Control: 1 year (preferred)
